Hey! I graduated in 2024 with an ATAR of 99.80 and am currently studying Law and Commerce at UNSW. Since January 2025, I’ve been tutoring Maths, English and Legal Studies for Year 11 and Year 12 students, and now am specialising in Legal Studies tutoring for Year 12 students (class of 2026). In Year 11 and Year 12, I received first rank in all Legal Studies assessment tasks at a selective high school, achieving a raw trial mark of 95/100 and a final HSC mark of 96/100. Additionally, I have accumulated extensive resources for Crime, Human Rights, Family and World Order (such as HSC samples, full-mark responses, detailed notes and essay plans, ‘hidden’ past papers, and self-made teaching material). Saavan’s is an extremely talented tutor that tailors his teaching methods according to your strengths and weaknesses. He is able to assess and identify the issues within your work and provide guidance as to how you would rectify it. This extremely commendable skill he has is what helped with the legal studies subject during my HSC. His patient manner and approach when explaining concepts within legal studies is what aided me in achieving good marks during my senior year. I would highly recommend Saavan as your tutor because not only is he well rounded but he also cares about you and your best interests!!

Saavan has tutored me in English for 2 years since I was in year 11. I used to struggle to understand the assigned texts and how to extract relevant information to answer the questions, but Saavan taught me a process to overcome my weaknesses in the subject. Moreover, Saavan was open to marking and providing feedback on sample essays in Legal Studies that I wrote, allowing me to reflect and improve my essay writing skills. However, Saavan's skills are not limited to essay writing subjects as I often approached him for help in other subjects such as Maths and Chemistry, where he was able to clearly and concisely explain how to approach and answer the trickier questions. Personally, Saavan has helped me massively throughout highschool and enabled me to achieve great marks. His calm demeanour and deep understanding of each subject positions him to be a great tutor whom I highly recommend.

Saavan is one of the best tutors out there and his attitude towards his studies is truly commendable. Saavan informally tutored me for English and without him I wouldn't have been able to achieve a Band 6 in English Advanced. He was super helpful as he was able to provide me strong analysis and ideas that were unique to what was normally discussed in class, allowing me to unlock those higher marks such as 19s and 20s in my assessment tasks. Not only that but he was quite generous in sharing resources such as exemplar essays and summary sheets of the prescribed texts so I could easily identify what the most pertinent ideas for analysis were. He was very welcoming to me as a weak performing student in English and was able to work around these weaknesses, giving me actionable advice that was easy to follow which allowed me to progressively improve in cumulative assessment tasks. Overall, I would recommend Saavan to any HSC student who wishes to achieve top marks in not just English but other subjects as well :)

Great is an understatement when it comes to Saavan's ability to break down complex concepts in a digestable matter, both in and out of school and studying. Really being able to critically analyse information is something I believe has immensely helped Saavan on his HSC journey and across his incredible results. Additionally, his friendly nature, and easygoing attitude makes asking him for help or any sort of assistance quite simple and straightfoward. Mature and respectful is also something that I would consider Saavan to be, which can easily translate to being an effective tutor for those around him.

Putting aside his technical skills in mathematics up to the highest level of HSC, Extension 2 Mathematics, it has been a pleasure to observe the growth of Saavan in his academic prowess and interpersonal skills throughout High School. Furthermore, considering Saavan’s role within the Student Leadership Team of 2024, it is clear that his friendly and relaxed demeanor alongside his honed public-speaking abilities will translate into his role as a tutor, cultivating a positive learning environment for students. Saavan is absolutely fit to tutor high school students — he basically did it for our cohort already during HSC. He’s consistently giving us constructive feedback but still makes sure we don’t feel dumb and to me this makes him really approachable as a tutor. In mathematics, he never shamed us for our inabilities either, but rather explained clearly his step by step working out. His ATAR is just the cherry on top!

Apart from being a genuinely wholesome and uplifting person, Saavan doesn't just bring academics and good guidance to the table, he's a good outlet to ship your high school worries and develop you as a person. I can remember even while we were friends during high school, he'd always reach out to mark my homework tasks and give me feedback, not only guiding me towards better marks but building his own repertoire of study resources. Overall, he's super passionate in what he does, and even talking to him before you get started, you'll know he knows his stuff, and he'll give you an answer to any question you ask him.

Saavan is an amazing friend and mentor that I've had across my high school experience, being loyal, kind and a genuinely caring person. But alongside that he has taught me so much on how to grow as a person as well as in an academic environment, guiding me in subjects I was struggling with especially in year 11 and 12. I can wholeheartedly refer how passionate and encouraging he is, and how much dedication he puts into anything to help others as much as himself.
