🌗 **How I Teach**
My goal: help students appreciate maths and get their best academic results along the way. I use the Polya pedagogy: a socratic style of question-and-discussion that forces students to really think, and therefore genuinely understand the material. Unlike the standard way of teaching, I introduce the question/problem before I introduce its underlying theory in the same fashion as the AOPS founder and pedagogue, Richard Ruscyzk, does - not the other way around; the purpose of this is to frame mathematics as a process of discovery, not rote-learning. The result is that the student is more engaged, and is therefore more willing to independently discipline themselves in exam preparation, and thus will get better marks. I was fortunate enough to have a teacher who taught that to me, and I hope to pass it on.
"Your problem may be modest, but if it challenges your curiosity and brings into play your inventive faculties, and if you solve it by your own means, you may experience the tension and enjoy the triumph of discovery.” - Polya

Jasmin has been an excellent Maths tutor for my Year 10 son. Since starting lessons, his scores, ranking, and overall effort in Maths have improved dramatically, with results showing almost immediately. Jasmin’s patient and persistent approach has built his confidence and understanding, making a noticeable difference in his performance. We couldn’t be happier with the progress and recommend Jasmin to anyone seeking a dedicated and effective tutor.

Her teaching is very genuine and I can tell she not only wants me to understand the content well, but to develop the right mindset in studying and working for the future too. I'm hoping to improve more in other subjects too, thanks to her encouragement and ethic behind tutoring.

Jasmin is an excellent Year 11 math tutor. Instead of just fixing quick math problems, she helps students truly follow and connect with the subject. She listens closely to parents to understand where the student is struggling, and uses that insight to motivate them. She actively encourages extra homework, preparing my child not just for this year's exams, but for their future studies as well. We are very grateful for her support.
