Almost as soon as he could read, Curtis took to books, reading through them veraciously. At a similar time, Curtis' mother took to enrolling him in Chinese school, as well as teaching him the language herself. These early foundations laid the groundwork for these two interests and led him to eventually pursue these at university. He graduated in 2024 from the University of Queensland with a BA in Writing and Chinese. Now, he hopes to show his students the great joy that can be found in becoming well-acquainted with Literature and the English language.
