Hello, I'm Alan. I graduated from Perth Modern in 2020 with a 99.90 ATAR. I am currently studying the Master of Professional Engineering (Electrical Engineering specialisation) at UWA. I have an undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Science and I am set to graduate from Masters at the end of 2025. Since 2021, I have tutored over 25 students from various schools including Perth Modern, Rossmoyne SHS, Willetton SHS, All Saints College, and Kennedy Baptist College. My lessons are tailored to each student's needs-- whether it's reviewing tough questions from school, exam questions, or preparing for investigations. I also provide revision material. My top four subjects in WACE and their scaled scores were: - Chemistry (97.0%) - Physics (96.0%) - Mathematics Specialist (92.2%) - Mathematics Methods (91.8%) I love learning and teaching STEM subjects (especially chemistry). I was one of 24 high school students in Australia who attended the Australian Science Olympiads Summer School for Chemistry in 2020 (used to select the top candidates to represent Australia in the International Chemistry Olympiad). I then studied undergraduate synthetic chemistry for 2.5 years at UWA as an elective. I held the highest weighted-average mark at UWA for the undergraduate chemistry units CHEM1001 and CHEM1002 in 2021 and received the Dr Peter Simpson OAM Prize for First Year Chemistry, Lady James Prize in Science, and the Dr Lindsay William Spiers Memorial Prize. I also held the highest score in Advanced Mathematics Methods (MATH3023) at UWA in 2022 with a mark of 99/100 and I received the Hyman S. Spigl Prize in Advanced Mathematics Applications. My current availability is limited. I have some positions on Saturday and Sunday afternoons at Riverton Library. I can also do Civic Square Library in Booragoon during the evening on weekdays during the school holidays. Online lessons are possible as well.
