I have a maths degree, a PhD in Climate Sciences, and I currently lecture at UNSW. I’ve been tutoring maths privately since 2008 — in Russia, Germany, and Australia, including several years with On Top of the Class. I know the Australian curriculum and I’ve seen what actually works across a huge range of students, from Year 2 through to university level. I tutor Years 7-12 and university students in maths, statistics, and environmental science. My professional background in quantitative modelling shapes how I explain things — I show you why something works, not just the steps, using diagrams and real examples. All of my students who started really struggling have gone on to do genuinely well.
