Hi, I’m Jacob, a 2025 graduate of St Paul’s Catholic College with an ATAR of 95.35. Throughout high school, I worked consistently and strategically to achieve my goal of studying engineering. This experience showed me that genuine academic success is built on a strong, in-depth understanding of concepts. I began tutoring while completing Year 12 and now tutor over 20 students. Throughout this time, I have received multiple positive reviews from students and parents, which can be viewed below.
My academic efforts were recognised through being awarded the 2026 Port Waratah Coal Undergraduate Engineering Scholarship. Through studying Advanced and Extension 1 Maths in Years 11 and 12, I developed a strong understanding of key mathematical principles, achieving a Band 6 in Maths Advanced. I also have a strong understanding of mechanics in engineering and physics, achieving 94/100 (Band 6) in Engineering Studies, enabling me to confidently support both theoretical understanding and application-based problem solving.
To maximise each student’s success, I provide a comprehensive range of learning resources, including detailed and well-organised notes, worked examples, targeted worksheets, past papers, and exam-style questions aligned with the NSW syllabus. These resources reinforce concepts covered during lessons and help students develop the confidence and exam techniques needed to perform at their best.

Having tried multiple maths teachers for my twin boys, Jacob simply stands out. His ability to connect with children is remarkable, and the bond he has built with my boys is something truly special. I often overhear his lessons, and the calm, patient demeanour he brings to every session is exceptional.
Jacob isn’t just fantastic because he knows maths — that part is a given. What makes him extraordinary is the way he explains concepts clearly, gently, and in a way children genuinely understand. He has a friendly, approachable attitude, and over time he has become more than a teacher — he has become a friend and mentor to my kids. We feel genuinely lucky to have found him and look forward to a long association.

I taught Jacob Engineering in High School and he is by far one of the most determined and intelligent students I have ever met. Part of what made him so successful was his willingness to discuss concepts with his peers, which helped him understand them deeply. Jacob is able to adapt his explanations to suit any level of understanding and is motivated to see a real difference in others. Jacob is engaging and relatable and has already seen success in students he tutors. I could not recommend him enough.
