About

State-Ranking, Prize-Winning English Tutor | Qualified, Accredited English Teacher | English Literature Graduate Ms Rebecca Ha is a state-ranking, prize-winning English tutor, qualified English teacher, and English Literature graduate with over a decade of experience mentoring NSW’s most ambitious students and training top-performing English tutors. ABOUT ME Salut! I’m Bec, a state-ranking English tutor and qualified English teacher passionate about nurturing a handful of dedicated students who are ready to be challenged. Among my students, I’ve somehow inherited the cringe/dubious titles of ‘Eng God’, ‘OG Eng Tutor’, ‘Legit Goated Eng Teacher’, and ‘Secret Weapon’, which makes me feel out of touch. For full testimonials and further information about my services, please visit rebeccahaenglishservices(dot)com. TRACK RECORD - Many of my high-achieving students have achieved NSW state ranks across English Advanced, Extension 1, and Extension 2. - I’ve supported thousands of students over the course of 11 years, many initially expecting Band 4–5 results, to achieve their desired Band 6 outcomes, even in English Standard (where only ~60 students achieve a Band 6 statewide each year). - I have a proven record of transforming reluctant students into confident, insightful writers who leave with a lasting appreciation for literature and its relevance to our society and humanity. - Historically, my students tend to hail from North Sydney Boys, North Sydney Girls, James Ruse, Baulkham Hills, Knox Grammar, Scots College, Normanhurst Boys, Meriden, Pymble Ladies’ College, Ravenswood, and Abbotsleigh, among many others. - I possess expertise across almost all English prescribed texts from the past three syllabus and prescription changes. ETHOS English is not about memorising techniques and quotes, re-reading texts endlessly, or perfecting formulaic essays. It’s about cultivating creativity, discipline, and critical thought, the three tenets that define genuine mastery of the subject. My role is to train students to think independently, to write with intellectual precision and creative flair, and to approach complex ideas with confidence. The goal is not just academic success, but to shape articulate, thoughtful individuals who understand the power and responsibility of the written word. PRICING & SERVICES Total Package: $2,000 per term (paid upfront) Approx. rate: $100/hour This comprehensive package, refined over a decade of experience, includes: - 10 hours of 1-on-1 lessons per term, plus lesson preparation time.
