Hello! My name is Charles, I’m a third-year Advanced Mathematics and Commerce student at UNSW, with two years of tutoring experience. I graduated in 2023 with an ATAR of 93+, achieving a score of 94/100 in Mathematics Extension 1 and 90/100 in Mathematics Extension 2. I’m passionate about helping students excel, achieving their best results. Throughout my highschool life from years 7-10, I was nowhere close towards the top of my cohort. In year 11, I shifted my focus towards understanding the "why" behind the taught formulas, and analysed every single step to solving difficult problems. By the end of Year 11, my rankings in Advanced and Extension 1 Mathematics rose to 8th and 6th in the grade respectively. Throughout my senior years, I've had a lot of experience mentoring peers, and was able to help them understand difficult concepts with ease. Because of this, my approach will be emphasised on using simple explanations to understand core concepts, helping students develop a solid foundation and lasting problem-solving skills.
