Hello there I'm Sam. I'm an in-service high school teacher. I teach English, humanities, and media studies. I also have experience teaching maths. I have also been a professional writer, indie film producer, and work in data science. I completed high school in 2017 in Canberra. I then studied computer networking, sociology, Mathematics, computer programming, and game design. After that, I moved to England, where I studied practical ICT and graduated with distinctions in networking, object-oriented programming, and game design. After spending my Gap year working in finance management on the Gold Coast, I moved to Canberra for university. At university, I studied journalism, majoring in film production and political science. I graduated with distinction in 2022. After university, I worked for the Herald Sun covering politics, court, crime, economics, and anything else that seemed interesting. Since then, I have relocated to Melbourne and completed a master's in secondary teaching whilst working at the Bureau of Statistics. I am currently a casual high school teacher. So why tutoring, you might ask? I'm passionate about education and believe firmly in an individualized approach. Everyone learns differently, and often classroom teachers don't have the Resources to tailor lessons to each student's needs. This is something I pride myself on: tailoring lessons to fit the students and combining that with real-world workforce experience to achieve meaningful results.
