My name is Tiarne, I am an experienced VCE Psychology teacher at a high-performing secondary college located in Melbourne. I am the author of the new VCE Psychology Oxford student workbook (units 3 and 4) which is being published in November 2024 with a focus on key science skills- an area that students typically find quite challenging in VCE Psychology. I have also been a VCAA exam assessor for the past 5 years, so I have extensive experience teaching Psychology and particularly feel confident with the new content added to the 2023-2027 VCE Psychology study design. I have been teaching VCE Psychology for the past 7 years and tutoring students right throughout this time. As a tutor, my goal is to complement your learning at school and I offer a tailored sessions for each of my students. Generally a session includes reviewing exam-style questions that I have sent to you following our previous session, recapping key knowledge dot-points that you have covered during class and clarifying any concerns or questions you may have. I will also utilise my knowledge as an exam assessor and workbook author to discuss the styles of questions that your teachers may present on your SACs or that examiners may present on your end of year exam. We will combine key science skills into each session so you are continually building your confidence in approaching this section of the course (which typically makes up a large section of assessments). We will finish off briefly discussing the topics you will likely cover in class the next week, tips for SAC preparation and revision and I will send out your tailored practice exam style questions to complete over the following week.
