My name is Roy and it would be a pleasure to be able to tutor you or your child.
I have around 2 years of experience tutoring students in both a paid and volunteer capacity, and throughout this period I have had the pleasure of seeing my students grow academically.
My Experience Includes:
- Guiding students through Year 9 and 10 Commerce, helping them through assessment tasks and develop a high level of understanding for every syllabus dot point, ensuring they not only achieve top grades and ranks, but also ensure they are in good stead for their senior studies
- Taking students through the Year 7 to 10 Science, making sure they have a good understanding of theory and exam skills, to achieve high grades and ensure they are in a strong position for Year 11 science.
- Supporting primary aged students in both Mathematics and English, through my experience tutoring both gifted and disadvantaged students, I have made sure that all my students built strong foundations to prepare them for high school. I am also able to tutor high school Mathematics.
- Teaching students of all ages and ability debating, debating is not only a valuable skill in communicating and collaborating, but also helps performance in academics. The students I have taught debating have all agreed that it has helped their confidence, writing and speaking skills.
I conduct lessons via zoom, google meet, teams (or your preference). I have a comprehensive set up including microphone, sketchpad and multiple screens to ensure that I am able to deliver a high quality lesson online. I can do either one-one or small groups on request.
I am also more than happy to support students in the form of questions or marking outside of lessons.
I tailor my lesson plans for each student to ensure that it matches their schools curriculum, and is engaging, effective and enriching. Out of all the students I have had, I know that no single student learns the same.
My rates are designed to be affordable and cheaper than other tutors to ensure that every single students will have an equal opportunity to thrive and ensure that tutoring remains as accessible as possible.
