About

⭐ 8+ Years Tutoring Experience | 98.40 ATAR | Dalyell Scholar Recipient ⭐ Hi! My name is Christina, and I'm a fourth year student currently undertaking a Bachelor of Arts and Advanced Studies (International and Global Studies) at the University of Sydney, with a strong passion for teaching. SUBJECTS TAUGHT: - English (7-10) - English Standard & Advanced - English Extension 1 - Legal Studies - Modern History - Languages (inquire for details) ✳️ SPECIAL AREAS: - Essay writing & adapting to different subjects - Study structuring, exam & HSC preparation In working with students, I recognise that each individual has unique strengths and learning styles, something which I find is key to informing my teaching practice. It's important that students feel that they are enjoying themselves while they learn, as I believe this is an asset that they can carry with them throughout their lives. Even further than achieving academic goals, I am here to help your child cultivate and grow in their relationship with learning. I have seen first-hand what an incredible difference it can make to students' self-confidence to have that extra support on this journey. Through our working together they will be set up with vital tools to not only achieve current goals, but to navigate their future academic journey, whether it be on to university, career, or other pursuits. --------- Sessions are tailored to each student, and we can cover more than one subject in a session or even extend sessions as per their needs. A general structure of lessons would look like this: ➡️ We'll begin with a discussion of current content covered at school, and students' progress ➡️ We will then move on to any upcoming assignments and their progress ➡️ Relevant homework will be assigned, keeping in mind students' time constraints during the week ➡️ We will work through feedback on any work completed in the lesson, as well as relevant schoolwork/homework/assignment feedback ➡️ Ending the session with a recap on what we have worked on, as well as a preliminary learning plan/guide for the upcoming week ⭐ Out of hours help available via email and text, you can count on me for anything you need! ⭐ Working With Children Check (WWCC) as of 2024 ⭐ Teaching English as a Foreign Language Accreditation (TEFL) Rates: Years 7-10 - Individual: $70/hr - Group session: $50/hr Years 11-12 - Individual: $80/hr - Group session: $60/hr Please don’t hesitate to contact me for any questions related to your child's needs. I look forward to hearing from you!
