99.40 ATAR | 2023 HSC All-Rounder 98 Ext I Math | 95 Ext II Math | 93 Chemistry | 95 Physics Maths is definitely my most cracked subject. I achieved an ATAR of 99.40 and was an HSC All-Rounder. I graduated in 2023 from Fort Street High School, a top 25 selective school, ranking 5th in my year. Out of my six HSC subjects, five were Band 6, and my English was a high Band 5. I am currently studying Dentistry at the University of Queensland. Throughout my senior years, my internal HSC rankings in Mathematics, Physics, Chinese, and Chemistry were consistently in the top 10 or higher. I can help students by editing essays, tutoring Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry for the HSC, and teaching Chinese HSC exam strategies. I can also provide study materials and sample responses. I can teach in English or Mandarin, as I received primary school education in China and have continued self-studying and practicing Chinese throughout high school. I speak fluently. I have two years of tutoring experience, and senior students I have taught have been admitted to UNSW Engineering and Computer Science. Subjects I Tutor (Years 7–12): • Chinese (Chinese in Context / Chinese Continuers) • English (English Advanced) • Mathematics (Maths Standard / Maths Advanced / Extension 1 / Extension 2) • Sciences (Chemistry, Physics) My lessons will primarily be online, and I can offer a trial lesson before committing to regular tutoring. Teaching-wise, I spend a short amount of time revising/touching up on previous content before each lesson and ensuring students understand each concept before moving on. I also often find real-world examples of scientific or mathematical principles at work to help students understand them better, especially as I found that much more engaging when I was a student. I do feel like a tutor's teaching style is something you have to experience to know if it is right for you as ultimately your tutor is not the one learning, so I would be very happy to have trial lessons.
