99.40 ATAR | 2023 HSC All-Rounder 98 Ext I Math | 95 Ext II Math | 93 Chemistry | 95 Physics I am a current UNSW student of B Vision Science / M Clinical Optometry, a 2023 graduate of Fort Street High School and have a passion for helping others. I am hugely grateful for most of my teachers, and knowing how much of a difference their teaching made to how I perceive schoolwork and studying, I have taken many opportunities in my senior years to volunteer for peer support and peer mentoring as a means of helping other younger students also thrive. I always believed in learning by fully understanding concepts, which is why sciences and mathematics were my best subjects. Not only are they useful for your future tertiary studies in STEM-related courses, but it was always intriguing for me to understand how the world around me works. Teaching-wise, I spend a short amount of time revising/touching up on previous content before each lesson and ensuring students understand each concept before moving on. I also often find real-world examples of scientific or mathematical principles at work to help students understand them better, especially as I found that much more engaging when I was a student. I do feel like a tutor's teaching style is something you have to experience to know if it is right for you as ultimately your tutor is not the one learning, so I would be very happy to have trial lessons.
