I graduated from Baulkham Hills High School in 2023 with a 99.65 ATAR. I achieved a 3260 UCAT score, and interview offers from universities around Sydney. I am currently studying Bachelor of Clinical Science/Doctor of Medicine at Western Sydney University. Studying can be very boring and it can feel difficult to stay motivated... but fear not because I get it! As a student myself who has just been there and done that, I understand that tutoring is not just doing the same thing as school again outside of school hours. That's why I'm here to support you holistically to achieve your goals, whether it's getting into the selective school you want or figuring out what subjects will get you your dream ATAR. I will share my strategies and help you focus on the right parts of each subject to further what you learn at school and build off it with more practice and feedback. I have experience working in tutoring centers so don't worry if your younger student tends to get distracted and needs a bit more help staying focused - I'll be able to engage them while helping them to learn effectively! I also have experience in teaching students selective and OC material, and many of my students have achieved high marks, getting into top schools around the state. I can help your student to achieve the best marks they can through helping with practice and good problem solving skills. ✨HIGH SCHOOL SUBJECTS✨ High school is a big challenge but a really important stepping stone towards the future! I can provide help with school work, assessments and exam preparation across various subjects, sharing how I achieved top marks and several awards each year for excellence in my subjects. I am also able to provide study techniques overall and assistance in picking subjects for the HSC to support the student more holistically than in just the subject I am tutoring them in. ✨ UCAT CRASH COURSE ✨ UCAT is one of the biggest hurdles to cross when aiming for med school - and often one of the scariest. But just like in anything, when you know how to play to the game, you can succeed! My UCAT crash course will provide you with tips and tricks for mastering each section, to help you maximize the limited time given for each section! You will get access to resources including a full test's worth of questions, with worked solutions. Note, this course is intended as a supplementary course, ideal for year 12 students who have started their UCAT prep and need help refining their skills in the sections. This is best utilized in the lead up to the UCAT. The first 4 sessions will cover each of the 4 UCAT sections. There is also an optional 5th session, to iron out any remaining questions or concerns in the lead up to the test! ✨ MEDICAL INTERVIEWS ✨ The medical interviews are just as important, if not more (depending on the university) to get into a medical degree. However, different universities use different interview styles, focus on different qualities and ask different questions of their candidates. Whether you are preparing months out from the interview, or only have a few weeks to get ready, I can offer you the best tips to shape yourself into a stellar candidate for the specific university you wish to apply to. This includes 5 sessions going through commonly asked questions, forming the basis of your answers, and learning how to craft cohesive and effective impromptu responses. Further sessions to practice answering various questions are also available after this. With my services, I aim to help students holistically - not just the subject I'm tutoring in. I can also help you with selecting and managing extra curricular activities, managing school-life balance, applications for scholarships and figuring out how to best position yourselves for future university or tertiary aspirations.
