About

Hi there, I help tweens and teens go from feeling overwhelmed, confused and stressed out about their learning to feeling confident, content and in control so that they can achieve their best. If you ask my mum, she will say I was born a teacher (nothing to do with being the eldest of four, I’m sure!). From leading the younger sections at Girls’ Brigade to coaching netball teams and volunteering on countless camps throughout university, I’ve always been passionate about seeing people grow. My love for teaching has given me the opportunity to work in a variety of roles in schools for the last fourteen years (right from classroom teaching to overseeing entire Middle Schools and Secondary Curriculum). I’m also a lover of learning - whether that be personal or professional development. I’ve got a few different postgraduate qualifications to my name - all to do with teaching and learning! After 14 years in schools I decided I wanted explore other ways I could make a massive impact in the lives of tweens and teens (and educational landscape as a whole). I want to see more tweens and teens go from being distracted, discouraged and overwhelmed to feeling focused, confident and in control. I want to see more parents of tweens and teens go from feeling worried, worn out and defeated about to celebrating improvement and growth, and feeling guided and supported. With over 15 years of experience, I've guided countless incredible young people through the crucial transition from Primary to Secondary school, all the way to their HSC. Along this journey, I've identified a set of skills, behaviours, and mindsets that contribute to a holistic and positive learning journey. My mission is to nurture these qualities in young learners I’m not your run-of-the-mill tutoring service. It's a blend of my extensive teaching and leadership background, coupled with the ability to instill effective learning skills, behaviours, and mindsets in young individuals. I’m all about wanting to see people - Learn more effectively Enjoy learning Become better learners Become lifelong learners Rather than just focusing on subjects and content, my passion lies in empowering tweens and teens with skills that will serve them as lifelong learners, leading to not only academic progress but a lifelong love for learning. My approach revolves around giving students the tools to take charge of their own learning; fostering confidence, celebrating growth and achievements, and equipping them with the tools and strategies needed for continuous improvement. I’d love to hear from you if you have a tween or teen in: Year 7 and 8 - I want to support them make a strong start and develop positive habits for success in high school Year 9 and 10 - I want to help them develop confidence and support them to stay focussed through those tricky middle years, Year 11 and 12 - I want to give them the strategies, tools, and tactics to navigate the often-stressful Stage 6 and come out the other end proud of what they’ve achieved. I've also supported 100s of students through their HSC journey, achieving excellent results in PDHPE and CAFS. If you're a HSC PDHPE or Community and Family Studies student, I can also support you too!
