Hi! I'm Vaneeza, a 2023 graduate from Sydney Girls High School and a current UNSW Kensington Medical student with 1.5 years of tutoring experience. I deliver online, one-on-one tutoring for English (Advanced and Extension 1) and Mathematics (Advanced and Extension 1) aimed at students in Years 10-12. Upon graduation, I was one of the top ranked students in English Advanced and English Extension 1. I am therefore passionate about reforming English from a mandatory, boring subject to one that is a fascinating study of human behaviour and its representation in artistic forms. I also consistently achieved high marks in Mathematics, and aim to deliver a digestible understanding of concepts to students who may find the subject overwhelming and complicated. My teaching strategy involves; ✅ Close consultation with students to understand areas of weakness and confusion ✅ Development of study plans, particularly how to tackle essays and internal tasks ✅ Assisting in homework and assignments, walking students through strengths and areas of improvement, and common misconceptions ✅ Use of a wide variety of sources to create revision material, practice Maths tests and English questions to consolidate learning and exam strategies So, why me? My personalised, individual approach to teaching ensures I do not solely focus on covering syllabus dot points, but mastering and understanding each one to the fullest. My own meticulous study strategy for English and Maths, involving annotations of English Module rubrics, and using a wide variety of practice questions, tests and sources to understand mathematical concepts, is a skill I endeavour to pass onto my students.
