Experienced UCAT/HSC Tutor- 99.7 ATAR, 3340 UCAT Hi everyone, my name is Siyan! I am a Newcastle based tutor, specialising in UCAT tutoring, and HSC Maths Adv, Maths Ext 1, English Adv and Chemistry for years 10-12. I am passionate about supporting my students to achieve their goals, whatever they may be! I believe in a holistic approach to education, with a focus on wellbeing, life skills and study habits to allow you to apply what you have learnt in your real exams! I also understand every student is unique, and each lesson will be tailored to you and your learning needs. With this approach, I have been able to bring a student from a 53% to an 75% in Maths Extension 1 in 2 months, and allowed another to score a scholarship to study engineering at UNSW! Lessons will be held one-to-one for 1 hour, either online or in my house in Newcastle. I charge a rate of $60 per hour. Lessons will go as such: 1. We will first go over where you are at in your preparation, identifying areas in which you are most confident, and areas with some gaps in understanding. 2. We will analyse why these areas are challenging, in relation to your understanding and the strategies you are employing. 3. We will devise new strategies together, focusing on strategies which suit your learning style and may be used in exams for effective results. 4. We will complete practice questions to solidify your understanding and build your capability to apply this in an exam. If you'd like to find out more, please do not hesitate to contact me!
