Bonjour, je m'appelle Pétria ! I have a strong background in tutoring VCE, IB and Year 10 students. I also have extensive experience in French language and culture and I am confident in my ability to support students in achieving their language learning goals. Having grown up speaking French and spending time living in France, I bring not only academic knowledge but also authentic cultural insights that help students connect with the language on a deeper level. Currently, I am studying a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in French and International Politics at the University of Melbourne. I am deeply passionate about French culture and I am dedicated to fostering a love for the language in my students. In addition to my tutoring experience, I have first hand experience with the challenges that come along with VCE. In 2023, I achieved a VCE French study score of 49 and studied abroad in France, where I immersed myself in the language and everyday life. Throughout my tutoring experience, I have successfully helped students make significant progress in areas such as grammar, conversation, pronunciation, and study techniques. I take pride in tailoring my teaching methods to suit the individual learning styles and goals of each student, ensuring they receive personalized support and encouragement. My Teaching Approach: I believe in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel empowered to learn and grow. During my lessons I focus on addressing each student's challenges by focusing on grammar, building speaking confidence and improving study techniques for exams. I also provide a variety of resources to support their learning journey.
