99.90 ATAR | French 50, English 50 Hi, my name is Chrislyn and I would love the opportunity of working with you to achieve your academic goals! I attended Haileybury Girls College from which I graduated in 2022 as Dux Proximus with an ATAR of 99.90 and a study score of 50 in both English and French. Currently, I am studying the Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine course at Monash University. I primarily tutor VCE Units 1&2 and Units 3&4 French and Chemistry. My chemistry lessons involve a structured guide through the key knowledges of the study design supported by PowerPoints, practice questions and when relevant, online simulated experiments, with an aim to extend knowledge so students are best prepared for challenging exam questions. As a 2022 Premier’s VCE Award recipient for French as well as someone who also understands the challenges of learning the language, I ensure students are equipped with the appropriate grammar, vocabulary, sentence structures & phrases as well as practice in all examinable areas of the language (oral, written, reading, listening) with sample high-scoring responses provided as well as opportunities to mark any practice responses in the lead-up to SACs. I am flexible and happy to cater lesson content to the student (i.e. areas of weakness in preparation for SACs and the exam). Lessons will be one-on-one and held as online 1 hour weekly sessions via Zoom ($60 per hour), although I am happy to discuss other options in terms of lesson length and frequency. I am extremely passionate about fostering a comfortable & engaging learning environment in lessons so that we can more easily explore any gaps in knowledge and aim to delve that extra step into the content. Above all, I strive to give students a newfound appreciation for their subjects that can further drive them in their studies.
