About

Hey there! I'm Samuel, and I'm here to help you study less, stress less, and enjoy yourself more in high school and VCE! I did Year 12 in 2022, and like many others doing their Unit 3/4 subjects, studying and revising content always felt like a chore to me. I often left study for SACs and exams to the last minute, and went on social media instead of spending hours and hours combing through my textbooks and notes. You may think that because I wasn't spending all my time reading through my notes and revising, I would get bad grades as a result, right? Well, despite all this, I managed to achieve an ATAR of 99.00, a near-perfect study score of 49 in Psychology, and was the dux for three Unit 3/4 subjects at my school (Biology, Chemistry and Psychology). What was my secret then? How I did I manage to achieve those scores without spending hours and hours burying myself in my notes? Those secrets are what I'm going to teach you in our lessons. I'm going to teach you how to score high marks, by doing only the essential things you need to score high. That way, you won't have to waste time on other study techniques, that may not be the most effective for you and your own personal goals. I'm going to teach you how to identify key parts of a question, how to answer questions the way assessors want you to, and how to help convert the information in your textbook, into chunks of information that are easy to remember, so you can actually remember and use it in your assessments and exams. High school, especially Year 12, can be an incredibly stressful and somewhat scary time, not only because of assessments, but also because of everything else that happens in your personal life, like with your friends, your family, your teachers, etc. I have personally these sort of things during my high school life, and I understand how students may feel in this point of their lives. Being able to help guide students, and make this tumultuous time of their lives even a little bit less stressful or overwhelming, is one of the main reasons why I love tutoring, and I would love to be able to start this journey of academic growth and success with you today. Online tutoring is preferred, but I can meet with you at Mooroolbark Library, or Realm Library (in Ringwood), if in-person lessons are desired. Availability changes frequently (uni timetable is quite hectic!), so contact me for more information, or to try and find a time that suits both of us :)
