Amelie M.

Hi! I’m Amelie, studying a Bachelor of Education (Secondary) / Business Management at the University of Queensland, majoring in Economics. Through my placements in secondary schools, I’ve worked with a diverse range of students from Years 7–12 across Business, Economics and Humanities (Geography & History). These experiences have shown me how much confidence can affect learning. I know that asking for help can sometimes feel uncomfortable, especially when it seems like everyone else understands. I want my students to know that there is never any embarrassment in going back over the basics, asking lots of questions or needing something explained in a different way. I genuinely love teaching and helping students reach the moment when something finally clicks. My lessons are relaxed, patient and shaped around the individual student. Struggling, feeling overwhelmed by an assignment or simply wanting to improve, I’ll meet students where they are and work through it with them!
