My name is Chanan and I am currently doing a Bachelor of Medical Studies/Doctor of Medicine at UNSW
I graduated with an IB diploma in Hong Kong, receiving a final grade of 41/45, 💎98.15 ATAR equivalent 💎.
I studied Higher level Chemistry, Biology and History and Standard level Chinese B, English Language and Literature, Maths AA. With my best subjects being Maths AA, Biology and Chinese B, achieving a 7/7 for all 3. In regards to my Theory of Knowledge and Extended Essay, I received 3/3 and A's in both. (18/20 for TOK essay and 31/34 for Extended essay)
💰Tutoring rate will be $60-70 per hour depending on the subject 💰
I tutor the following IB subjects :
- Biology
- Chemistry
- History
- Chinese b
- I also provide feedback and advice on Internal Assessments (IAs), the Extended Essay (EE) and Theory of Knowledge (TOK) essay and exhibition.
additionally, I will teach Middle years program (MYP) and the middle school Australian program if needed. (rates will vary)
My teaching style is definitely supportive and flexibility. I will try and modify the way that I teach based on my student's personality and requirements. With experience tutoring students from year 1 all the way to year 10, I have grasped the importance of personalised teaching. Since this will be a one on one session, I can spend more time and effort to get to know you as a learner.
I personally struggled with learning when I was younger and I had fantastic and memorable tutors which really taught me by catering to my style of learning. I hope I can be that for my future students. Whilst being a student myself, I know exactly what I want, hence, I aim to teach with ambition and enthusiasm.
With a deep understanding of the syllabus and curriculum and assessment criteria, I am well equipped to prepare my students at the toughest moments of their academic career. I will target every check point, including time management in exams, unpacking intricate concepts, and most importantly, building a stellar confidence to ace the exams.
