My name is Dylan Collins and I graduated from St Bede’s College in 2023 as College Captain while achieving an ATAR of 98.35. In 2024 I will be undertaking a Bachelor of Science Advanced - Global Challenges (Honours) at Monash University. My VCE Results were as follows: Biology 43 English 44 Geography 43 Physical Education 47 (College DUX) Health and Human Development 46 (College DUX) Maths Methods 28 I am available to tutor 1/2 and 3/4 PE, 3/4 Health, and 3/4 Biology. While studying these subjects I put together comprehensive notes for Biology, Health and PE. These notes thoroughly cover every piece of terminology found in the study design dot points. These notes also include structures and methods for answering questions and effectively remembering content, which is highly important in the VCE. As a student, I liked to fully understand everything I was told, and needed to understand the "how?" and "why?" behind concepts to feel reassured that my learning was robust and complete. I am highly confident I have a lot to offer to Biology, PE and HHD students who are aiming for study scores above 40. I’m also very happy and eager to answer questions and offer advice regarding time management, planning and study techniques as I believe this is fundamental to VCE success. Although I have little experience as a tutor, I believe that my strong communication, people skills and experience in clarifying difficult concepts with my peers throughout the year, while challenging them to fully comprehend everything they’re learning will translate valuably into tutoring. Groups are preferred, however I am open to both group and individual sessions, and charge $40/hr for individual or $25/hr/pp for groups of 3-5. I’m based in Beaumaris and am open to in person and online sessions.
