However, it was in Year 11 where I started really trying to make an effort with developing the right study skills and writing techniques – I began putting more hours into English, and was able to achieve a cumulative rank #9 in Advanced English and #5 in extension 1 English in y11 without any tutoring at all! 😺. I believe that it was through perfecting these techniques that I was able to receive the highest marks in 2u, 3u and 4u English in my cohort during the HSC 🤓. Because of this, I completely understand the unique challenges students face with HSC English – yet more than anyone, I recognise that all students have the potential to do extremely well in the right learning environment.
