Hello, I'm Karl. I'm currently studying Medicine at UNSW and work as a private tutor. I distinguish myself by tailoring my approach for each student I have, centred around not only targeting content areas that are proving difficult but also identifying the potential improvements in study strategies and approaches to certain courses in the HSC based on the knowledge I have picked up in my HSC year and the leadup to it. This not only ensures that I am guiding students to improve but also to do so with more efficiency, saving time and effort which is crucial in the lead-up to the HSC. I have worked with a variety of students of all abilities and goals across numerous subjects, and pride myself on my patience and flexibility to adapt to individual students' needs whilst still delivering quality tutoring around the crux of the HSC curriculum, whether it be simply clarifying certain concepts left uncertain by school or perhaps going beyond the routine and pace of school to maximise academic achievement. I am offering tutoring for students from Year 7 to Year 12 who are preparing for the HSC. I am also available for those considering pursuing medicine or dentistry, as I provide tuition for the UCAT and medicine interviews. I have my own resources for all subjects listed above including textbooks, notes, activities, homework and past papers but am happy to assist with any material provided by the student such as schoolwork they find difficult or assessment preparation. Lessons are usually 1-2 hours although alternate times can be arranged in certain circumstances and will be centred around topics communicated by the student before the lesson to maximise efficiency for class time, whilst leaving sufficient time for any other questions or issues students may have. I am available on most school days (Monday to Friday) in the evening as well as on weekends; specifics regarding lesson times and methods of delivery can be discussed further.
