My name is Kareena and a little bit about me is that I just recently graduated in 2023 at Glenwood High School and am now commencing study at UNSW studying Bachelor of Exercise Science/Master of Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology. Finding passion in the moments where I could assist my classmates/friends with a maths equation or a concept, I developed an urge to teach in a way that ensured a in-depth understanding. I therefore want to continue tutoring in a manner that ensures that all weaknesses are covered and that we can remove the habit of ‘ROTE’ learning ideas, so that my students can ultimately gain the highest possible mark within their academics. My teaching method will involve the following: * Firstly: Understanding: Thoroughly understanding a subject/syllabus and going a little bit beyond is key to knocking down those ‘curve balled questions’ in the exam. I will aim to ensure that I teach the content in a manner that works to mould and develop these skills so that they can easily recall content and succeed in exams. * Secondly: Disciplined learning A student can only achieve so far without discipline. Skills including planning and integrating techniques of active revision and practise questions is key to achieving top bands in the HSC. I will help guide the student through an effective study plan that will build their confidence! * Finally: Establishing a positive environment Maintaining a positive and open environment, I aim to make learning fun for you! Remember there is always more to life apart from academics. I will be available outside tutoring hours aswell to answer your questions and last minute dilemmas too.
