As a recent high school graduate, the stress and hustle of getting through school is all too familiar. The pressure to achieve top marks can be pretty overwhelming and it is my goal as a tutor to help students navigate this. I graduated high school with an ATAR of 99.85 as Co-Dux and Academic Captain. Currently, I’m studying a Doctor of Medicine, having just completed a Bachelor of Medical Science so I have a pretty big passion for all things science. Though I found ways to enjoy my study in my senior years at high school, it took a bit of trial and error to understand how to achieve this. Through devising ways to efficiently break down and study content, I was able to achieve high results in my subjects like Mathematical Methods (99) and Literature (100). I am well too aware of how gruelling schoolwork can be when ineffective study techniques are combined with confusing subject matter. I hope to fix this. It is my strongest belief that if we don’t understand a concept, it is not because we are bad at that subject. It is just that our teachers are not teaching to our individual learning styles. So, my tutoring is always student led- I adjust to what works for you. I prioritise finding an efficiency in your study that will leave time to balance school with your extracurricular commitments and social engagements.
