I achieved an ATAR of 99.75 not through skill, but methodical exam strategies. Strategies 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚, as opposed to talent. I performed highly in all of my 12 units of study, despite those 12 units covering several unique disciplines! Despite my skill level for each subject being different, I performed consistently high in all, 𝙝𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙚𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙚𝙭𝙖𝙢 𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙣𝙞𝙦𝙪𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙡𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧. I would not consider myself naturally talented at English and History – essay subjects – yet they were among my best performing subjects! I understand how to turn weaknesses into strengths. A skill which 𝙧𝙚𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙨 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚. I took a gap year in 2023 to work full-time at a high school, teaching 32 hours per week and providing tutoring to 25 students in the evenings. Please read the letter of reference found in my profile to gain a further appreciation of how this experience has shaped me to be an outstanding tutor. Teachers forget what it's like to be a student, students are ignorant of the ways of teaching. I am perfectly positioned as a recent graduate with experience to embrace both sides of the schooling world! Why is this important? Because tutoring at its best requires a balance of both! A tutor differentiates themselves from a teacher by understanding the mind of the student, creating personalised strategies to tackle any exam. ****************************** 📍 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐦𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬 ****************************** School in a sentence is ignorant students learning from educated teachers. However, ignorance comes in many forms, and often teachers only work to remove students' ignorance of subject content; they have to teach 25 students at once, let's cut them a little bit of slack here. And so, even when teachers are doing their best job, 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙡𝙚𝙛𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙖𝙧𝙠. This disregarded ignorance comes in many forms. Just to mention a few: – Planned exam strategy – Effective note-taking – Personalised study technique – Ignorance of helpful applications or websites – Organising and prioritising – Using time productively Typical tutors simply help students to understand subject content. Yes, I do that too. But I believe in the utmost importance of 𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙚 𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 too! That is my tutoring philosophy. My tutoring method works because I build students who have a process they trust, a trust that is forged in the absence of ignorance. ****************************** 📍 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 ****************************** I offer a free trial lesson for all students! Character references

"Harry comes to every class with an infectious enthusiasm that dissolves the barriers of language and age that separate him from the students with ease. What results is a beautiful learning environment, one where the students are engaged regardless of whether they're playing a game or learning grammar. Harry displays a never-ending thirst to help out, scheduling himself 32 hours/week, well above and beyond expectations. When Harry does return home, his duties for the day still continue, as Harry lives in a dormitory with 25 of our students, and runs tutoring sessions every evening. These comments on Harry's character are direct proof of Harry's strong love and care for every student at the school, a love that provides him motivation and fulfilment. It is a continual joy to see how the students' faces light up when given the opportunity to learn with Harry, a joy that is a reciprocation of the love which Harry puts in." – Written by Ms Kai Krittiya, English Teacher at Bankadwittayakom School ‎
