About

I have always been passionate about literature and firmly believe that one's reading comprehension and writing proficiency provide a crucial foundation for future success. To write is to experience freedom of personal expression! However, many students need interpreting the Australian curriculum’s demands to achieve their desired marks. In 2023, 60% of my students improved their marks by multiple grade bands within a school term. The average ATAR for my graduating tutees was 94, with a corresponding IB grading of 42. My Year 12 students experienced a 95% success rate in gaining admission to their desired universities, with some enrolling in Ivy League institutions. Lesson plans are curated for each student and focus on pursuing their academic ambitions, celebrating their strengths, and improving upon areas of weakness. Tutorials differ depending on the individual – students might request editing/drafting of upcoming assignments; others benefit from homework tasks designed to supplement their coursework; and some struggle with learning difficulties and require specialised assistance. In-person tutorials are typically conducted at public / school libraries or private residences. My hourly rate is $75 for primary and middle school students and $100 for senior and university students. My rates reflect the hours of tutorial prep that I undertake prior to meeting for a session! Online tutorials and external drafting / editing services are available as needed.

Education

In 2017, I graduated with an ATAR of 99, multiple subject merits, the Frida Gibson Award for Excellence, the Melbourne Chancellor's Scholarship, and an offer from Cambridge University; I am so proud that many of my students have experienced similar results. At ten years old, I received a ‘gifted’ label for my aptitude for reading and writing; at eleven, I began tutoring my peers; at twelve, I was invited to present an essay at the University of Hong Kong. I have received trophies and accolades for my creative writing endeavours and won first prize in national public speaking competitions. I also genuinely enjoy writing essays, and my idea of a perfect weekend is a book marathon. I am in my final semester of a Bachelors degree at the University of Melbourne (studying remotely), majoring in Psychology with a minor in Media & Communications. I use my knowledge of learning and neurological disorders to support those who struggle with standardised coursework, which is typically designed for neurotypical students.
