My name is Stratos and I just graduated from Newington College in 2023, achieving an IBAS score of 43.00 and academic excellence awards annually from years 7-12. Throughout this course, I have acquired experience and knowledge on exactly what needs to be executed to excel in the IB . Therefore, I am in a unique position to provide you with the help and support that you need to achieve the best results you can. The process/how lessons run📈: Step 1 – We have a 15-minute free zoom call where I get the opportunity to meet with you to discuss your subjects, goals and challenges. ✅ Step 2 – I then create a weekly timetable tailored to your needs and scheduling. This will remove all stress and uncertainty, showing you exactly what needs to be done each week for guaranteed success in each subject. An individually tailored program will allow you to more efficiently plan your study timetable based on the outcomes you aspire to whilst balancing your life and other commitments. Together we will work out how much time needs to be spent on reviewing content, completing questions and completing past papers. I will teach you how best to use your time and guide you as to when you should complete assessments and tasks so that you allow enough time to study closer to the final exams. I will also share with you some study techniques so that you can more easily and gradually grasp concepts rather than cramming and stressing closer to exams, so that you are in the best position throughout your journey and spreading out your study and assessments over the two years. While the IB is demanding, it is vital to maintain good mental and physical health so that you can perform at your optimum. I am passionate about health and exercise and will give you guidance as to how you can maintain optimal health and discipline that can make all the difference. ✅ Step 3 – Thereafter, we will have weekly lessons with the following objectives: • Firstly, you come to me with questions regarding concepts you don’t understand as well as specific questions that you don’t know how to answer. ✅ • Secondly, I will run a lesson exploring a certain topic within a subject with a focus on addressing any weaknesses you may have in an interesting and engaging way. As I have just completed the IB I know what the markers are looking for so I can assist you with techniques and on how best to answer certain long response questions. ✅ • Finally, we will have a recap lesson twice a term. In these lessons we will determine which topics you are struggling with, and I will review your timetable and we will restructure lessons based on those weaknesses. ✅ How my tutoring style differs from others 😄😄: 1. A true guide through the course 🤝🤝: I have devised this step-by-step program for each student so that we can work through the rigorous program as a team and wholistically so you feel confident and guided with the proper direction so that you can achieve your best results. 2. Help outside of lessons 😇. The IB program can be unpredictable; often after understanding one concept in a lesson it may led you to having more questions after our lesson that you need addressed before your next scheduled lesson. I will endeavour to make myself available for you to ask questions between lessons. This will alleviate stress and give you peace of mind that I will be there to assist you when you need it, so I allow a specific number of questions to be asked between lessons. 3. Extensive correspondence with parents. After every lesson I guarantee a message back to parents explaining what we did and what the student is struggling with and what they are grasping. Additionally, I hold a call every fortnight where I explain how we are going in more detail. I also hold parent-student zoom calls twice a term, as I believe they are involved in the support of the student in their journey to success! NSW years 7-10 📖📖: I also offer tutoring for all subjects in the NSW curriculum for years 7 - 10. As I achieved Academic Excellence awards every year in high school, I can help you to improve in all your subjects, except artistic subjects (I cannot draw or play music).
