Hi, I'm Toby, a tutor heading into my final year of studying a Bachelor of Secondary Education/Bachelor of Arts, majoring in English and History. These were some of my best subjects in high school (99 in English and Literature Extension, 97 in English, and 95 in Ancient History), they are the subjects that I love most, and they are the subjects that I am most passionate about helping my students to achieve well in.
My tutoring style is a personally tailored service, forming a deep understanding of each student's unique learning styles, strengths and weaknesses, and areas for growth. This is then met with an engaging (and fun!) process of working through content with thorough discussions, interesting activities, and practical steps for improvement. This process is marked by the use of a range of effective teaching strategies that are specifically suited to each student's requirements. This ensures sessions that are enjoyable, engaging, and effective in elevating academic performance.
