VCE Geography: In Year 12, I achieved a raw 45 in Geography, and since graduating have led all 8 of my VCE Geography students to scores above 40, including 4 scores above 45 and one raw 50. My success in tutoring this field stems from a deep understanding of the requirements and structure of the examination material, and the essential strategies required in order to succeed in this discipline. As part of tutoring services, students are given access to my catalogue of VCE Geography resources, which includes notes, case studies and additional practice SAC's and Exams. English: In Year 12, I achieved a raw 43 in English, while being SAC Rank 1 at Melbourne Grammar School. My services include access to extensive structuring notes for Analytical and Comparative essays, as well as specialist notes for Language Analysis essays. My Philosophy: As a student, I have always been motivated by the pursuit of academic excellence. Crucially, however, I believe that such excellence does not stem from one’s natural academic capabilities, but rather, a strong understanding of the intricacies of the course and hard work. As such, my focus as a tutor would be unpacking the key aspects of the course and assisting students in preparing subject notes, and organising and structuring responses. As a result, my personal academic experiences, combined with a patient demeanour would allow me to both be a good tutor and mentor to students at the high school level.
