About

Hi there! I'm Liam. I graduated in 2023 as the Dux of Waverley College and as an HSC All-Rounder with Band 6 results in all subjects. Thus, whether you are struggling to keep up in class or a high-achiever looking for additional fine-tuning, I have the knowledge and tools required to help any student achieve their goals. After achieving an ATAR of 99.20, I am qualified to provide not only revision of classwork and content, but also teach critical techniques for exams, study, and motivation. Rather than providing superficial assistance, I have a desire to help my students on a deeper level, looking more closely at specific tips and methods that helped me reach my own goals. This can be useful for students throughout high school, whether that be beginning Year 7 or finishing Year 12. Varying from time management to memorisation, the skills I wish to develop will transfer across any schooling and will set you up for success in the HSC. As an HSC all-rounder (Band 6 in 10+ units), I can provide in-depth expertise in any of the following subjects: Ancient History (5th in state), Modern History, Extension History, English Advanced, and Studies of Religion I/II. Further, I am an experienced writer, with skills that I have gained from my studies under ANU's most prestigious, research-intensive course. As such, I impart these valuable teachings to my students and support them in essay/academic styles of writing. Not only this, I strive to help my students comprehend and understand fundamental ideas at a more nuanced level, allowing for more cohesive and fluent judgments. I work with students to set goals, creating personalised lessons with detailed feedback to support students who wish to reach for the stars and realise their own potential. By addressing gaps in understanding and ensuring accountability through regular check-ins, my students flourish during their HSC journies. All tutoring sessions are one-on-one, and will be held online via zoom or Google meets. These times may be flexible, whether that be regular weekly/biweekly sessions or a less rigid schedule, I can accommodate for a student's commitments and busy life. Further, summer/school holiday tutoring is also available for additional tuition.

Liam is a phenomenal tutor who has helped me, personally raise my own marks from 70s in Year 12 English Advanced, to 92 in the HSC trials, just from listening to his insightful feedback. He has an incredible talent, capable of writing out near-flawless essays effortlessly, as seen through his State Rank in Ancient History (1st Ranked Male in NSW). I believe, without a shadow of a doubt, that his ability to analyse texts and understand the underlying meanings behind them, to then produce essays and responses is second to none. Moreover, he has boundless resources to assist with any sort of study, including his own masterfully written essay plans and notes. Any student of Liam's will almost be guaranteed to improve and succeed in their high school endeavours.
