Hi! My name is Nitya Lavingia and I'm a 2023 graduate from Suzanne Cory High School. I graduated with a 98.80 ATAR and study scores above 40 in 5 subjects (General Maths, Maths Methods, English, Chemistry & Visual Communication and Design). I am studying IT and Design in a double degree at Monash University.
I have experience tutoring children from grades 1-12 in both Math and English and have helped many students in achieving their academic goals, as well as boosting their confidence in themselves.
My recent graduation ensures that I am familiar and knowledgeable in what is required for students to succeed in high school. My experience with children from many different backgrounds and learning styles allows me to assist a wide range of students in achieving their goals. My aim is not only to help you achieve academic success and improve your grades, but also to increase your confidence in your own abilities and help you enjoy the process of learning.
I am offering tutoring for Yr9-10 Maths and Science, as well as VCE Maths Methods (Units 1-4), General Maths (Units 1-4) and Chemistry (Units 1-4). I will provide notes and previous SACs and exams as well.
My lessons are conducted either in person in the far Western suburbs of Melbourne (Hoppers Crossing, Point Cook, Werribee), or online. I am open to both one-on-one and group sessions, however for group classes it would be best if you could form a group before approaching me. This ensures that you are in a group with people you are comfortable learning with and creates a happier environment. For group sessions my fee is $40/hr, with groups no larger than 4 students.
I am always willing and ready to communicate with my students in between classes via text or email, and will gladly assist with queries that may come up throughout the week. Additionally, I fully understand that academic success cannot and should not be achieved at the expense of one's mental and emotional health, and so I work hard to ensure my students feel comfortable and have someone to talk to throughout the stress of high school.
