From failing all my science exams in junior highschool to being unable to grasp my mind around so many different abstract maths concepts, I was ready to give up😭. Luckily for me though, in Year 11, I was fortunate enough to have a teacher who inspired me to have a renewed vigour to my studies, something that I aspire to be for you😁. And with my enthusiasm skyrocketing, I was ready to tackle anything. BUT Despite my increased motivation, I was still suffering academically, with my ranks in Chemistry being 65 and Maths being 80. By the end of the Year 11 course I had a predicted ATAR of 90☹️. However, heading into Year 12, I decided that I was going to have an ✨academic comeback✨and I realised that I had been approaching my studies wrong the whole time. Instead, I began to shift my approach to focus on conceptual understanding and other techniques to help me learn. As a result I saw a drastic improvement in my marks, with my Maths Advanced rank climbing to 2nd - something I would have thought impossible. As a result of my experience, I hope to impart with you the wisdom that I have learnt through my academic journey to not only succeed in the HSC exams but also further in life.
