99.60 ATAR | UCAT 3200 (98th percentile) | 98 Math Extension 1 | 98 Chemistry | 98 Math Advanced (Accelerated) Hi, I'm Gunarb and I am a Sydney Boys High School Graduate from 2023, achieving an ATAR of 99.60, and am currently undertaking my medicine pathway degree at the University of Southern Queensland/University of Queensland Joint Medical Program. I have had experience tutoring informally during my senior years of high school, and I have learnt from experience as well as from my academic journey that an understanding of fundamental concepts and continual consolidation of knowledge allows for academic success. I will teach students the fundamental concepts underlying the various subtopics of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, allowing them to build confidence and clarity over the topics. This will effectively bring about skills such as analytical thinking and problem solving, helping them tackle all sorts of questions. I will further foster these skills within students with my wide range of material from textbooks and question banks, exposing and challenging them to the most difficult problems in order to prepare them best for exams, as practice and practice is key for consolidation of knowledge and success. I'll offer students my exam tips and strategies in order to handle exams effectively and deliver the best responses, offering clear structures for answers, as well as how to approach them, and to manage time effectively, with experience from UCAT, one of the most time pressured and difficult exams. As a recent graduate from such a highly competitive school, I understand the pressures which students face in their final year of high school, and so as a tutor another role for me is to help students develop a well-structured timetable so they can focus on all commitments, whether it be academic or extracurricular, and to meet academic deadlines efficiently. This will allow them to prepare and perform for tests or assignments to their best effort, along with the resources I will provide to allow for continual practice, and strategies and tips to perform well in exams.
