I’m Marcus and I recently graduated from Sydney Grammar School in 2023 with an ATAR of 99.50 and as a HSC All-Rounder. At the moment I am undertaking a Bachelor of Law & Commerce as a Dalyell Scholar at the University of Sydney. 🔖 My 2023 HSC Results: Mathematics Advanced: 97/100 (98/100 in HSC Exam and Top 5 at Sydney Grammar) Mathematics Extension 1: 46/50 (Top 3 from non 4U cohort) French Continuers: 97/100 (1st Internally & Perfect 100/100 in Trials) French Extension: 46/50 (5th in NSW) Italian Continuers: 97/100 (State Rank equivalent) Chemistry: 92/100 As a specialist Modern Language and Mathematics tutor that has both excellent knowledge of the ins & outs of the syllabus and close to a year of experience in teaching, I have collected a vast amount of wisdom that has generated excellent results among my tutees. I take an interactive yet personalised approach to tutoring and in general take great pride in my tutees’ academic performance increases. My diversified tutoring style revolves around motivating my students and being highly approachable in both the academic and extra-curricular world. Maths was not the strongest subject for the most part of my high-school life - in younger years I was a top English student but ultimately I applied a core set of strategies that significantly boosted my performance in a short space of time. I seek to transfer my own personal experiences to students in similar positions to ensure they know how to take the most suitable route to reaching their academic potential. In terms of Modern Languages I offer intensive sessions that focus on pure speaking and writing skills; over the past few years I have collected resources to help me understand native French & Italian speaking styles and idioms that make you stand out and reach State Ranking level. 🖊️What I offer: • 24/7 help for all my tutees in any form e.g., marking, queries, questions • Years of hand-picked Maths & Languages questions & past-papers of varying difficulty • Complete access to my array of language techniques, notes, and full-mark writing tasks My current rate for Year 12 students is $100 but I am willing to negotiate for younger years.
