Good morning/afternoon, my name is Joseph and I have recently completed Units 3/4 of Business Management with a 41 study score as an accelerated year 11. I really enjoy business management as a subject, however at times it can get difficult due to the content heavy nature of the subject. This is where I found focusing on understanding instead of memorising to allow me to thrive in the subject. My techniques will not only involve explaining and building on understanding of concepts, but having a head start and understanding the content early is key to allow for time to complete practice questions, which overall solidify understanding, but assist in answering questions in the particular format for business management given the task words and what VCAA are looking for to get the marks with these task words. The sessions will typically go for an hour where understanding of content will be built on through visual explanations, examples or whatever the desired method of the student is to understand the content and practice questions will be broken down and practiced to ensure the student not only understands the content, but is able to answer questions to achieve the relative mark allocation. This is my first year of tutoring, however I was encouraged my my collogues and my tutor to attempt this profession given their feedback on not only my extensive knowledge of the subject, but my ability to consolidate and clarify understanding of key concepts, with friends and classmates constantly coming to me with questions. These sessions are suitable for year 11 or 12 Victorian Students completing units 3/4 of business management, with the large amount of resources made by me and others that I have for the subject also being provided in the sessions to further develop understanding.
