Hi! I am Zara McNally, a 2023 high school graduate studying at UNSW (starting in 2024). I am passionate about learning and consequently teaching, especially STEM subjects. My best HSC subjects were Mathematics Extension 1 (96), Mathematics Extension 2 (94), and Chemistry (94), all of which I am available to tutor. I also studied Latin Continuers and English Advanced. I was a 2023 HSC All Rounder and Dux of my academically selective school.
I am a student-driven teacher. This means I am passionate about learning what you don’t know so I can help you, and answering all your questions so you have a deeper understanding of the subject, all of which is critical for excelling in the HSC. I thrive when I tutor engaged students who understand the importance of learning. My teaching style is underpinned by thorough understanding of the key concepts. I then apply this to numerous examples to check, refine, and question understanding, building deeper and longer lasting comprehension of the topic.
Our first lesson together will be devoted to learning what you want out of my tutoring service, building a study plan for the following weeks that we can tackle together, and beginning to work through the content you need the most help with.
