2026 NEW AND CURRENT ECONOMICS SYLLABUS - experience and expertise I have significant teaching experience (>10 years) having taught Economics and social sciences at a top 10 NSW high school and English and Maths at Talent100 and other top tutoring colleges in Sydney. Previously, I have also been a tutor at Newington College. I am a certified high school teacher with a Masters of Teaching in Economics, Business Studies, Commerce and other Social sciences subjects. I was also part of the Australian Economics Olympiad committee. I have achieved consistently high results through differentiated and individualised teaching and learning strategies. I can extend learners as well as help students struggling with the basics. I know the Economics syllabus very well and have collaborated with past HSC markers in the past. I have also marked and created HSC school assessment tasks and trial HSC so understand what markers are looking for. Why risk your child being tutored by someone with no formal teaching qualifications nor substantial experience as a teacher? My lessons are individualised to the student’s learning needs and will follow the syllabus, explicit instruction of content, practice writing tasks, exemplar responses, essay writing feedback, assessment help, updated current economics information and exam style techniques. This is all catered to the individual needs of the student and their ability levels. Emphasis is placed on ensuring they have a solid knowledge of economics before extending them further as part of a growth mindset. Positive encouragement, care and flexibility are core values of my teaching approach. Year 11/12 Economics - $155+/hr I also majored in Spanish so can provide listening, speaking and writing help.
