Hello! I am Yumi, a 2023 graduate. I am a Bachelor of Arts/ Education student at UNSW; passionate to become an EALD/ Japanese teacher. With all band 6s across EAL/D, Japanese Continuers, Japanese Extension and Mathematics Advanced, I intend to help students grow and develop critical thinking skills, inspire confidence, and help them along their way as they tread the path towards their aspirations. I have a very flexible teaching style, but will mainly focus on helping students through their weaknesses. Particularly, I can offer my insights for students' practice/ past papers to help them improve, and give an approximate mark to help students gauge their abilities for an additional cost of $15/paper. I am also a multilingual (fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese), which allows for effective communication and detailed explainations without the obstacle of a language barrier. I am here to provide an enjoyable learning experience where students don't have to fear making mistakes, and come out of a session confident with new skills. Students will also gain access to all my notes and past papers to optimise their knowledge, filling in knowledge gaps to help students realise their academic potential.
