About
⭐⭐ 99.2 ATAR ⭐⭐ NSW STATE RANK ⭐⭐ HSC ALL ROUND ACHIEVER ⭐⭐
Hi there! My name is Bronte and I graduated Year 12 from St. Andrews Cathedral School in 2023. I achieved an ATAR of 99.2, and was awarded the Premier's All-Round Achievement Award for achieving a Band 6 in all of my units. In 2022, I also completed Studies of Religion 1 as an accelerated student, and achieved the NSW state rank of 6th. During school, I was awarded academic honours in every year of study, alongside the prestigious Richard Ford Prize for History.
In addition to my academic career, I have also participated in Model UN, Mock Trial, debating, house leadership, drama productions, and choirs, alongside mentorship of junior students to accelerate their studies. Outside of school, I have been an active volunteer in a range of organisations, gaining experience working with children and teens in a variety of settings. I am currently studying a double degree including a Bachelor of Advanced Science with Honours and a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in History and English) at UNSW.
As a recent graduate, I have excellent knowledge and experience of the HSC syllabus and exam formats. As a tutor, my primary focus is to help students understand their subjects at a deeper level, this includes guidance through:
- Understanding syllabus learning
- Preparing notes to a high standard
- Exam preparation
- Teaching study tips, including essay planning, and
- Prioritisation of quality over quantity during learning.
I am available to tutor years K-10 in all subjects (excluding languages), and years 11-12 in my HSC subjects:
- Biology
- English Advanced
- English Extension 1
- English Extension 2
- Ancient History
- History Extension
- Maths Advanced, and
- Studies of Religion.
Throughout my high-school career, I received excellent tutoring, which has enabled me to understand how to best support both primary and secondary students from a range of backgrounds and abilities.
I am based in Kensington, and am able to tutor online through Zoom, or in person at the UNSW library. I charge $60 per hour for Year 11-12 students, $50 per hour for other years, and $90 per hour for groups of up to 3. Please feel free to reach out with any questions, or to check my availability.
Bronte knows the NESA syllabus back to front for her subjects and has completed a multitude of past papers, and hence knows how to guide students to success in the HSC Examinations. Bronte placed in the State for her Studies of Religion 1 HSC examination in Year 11 as an accelerated student, and was also an All Rounder for the HSC.
