I completed my HSC in 2023 and I’m excited to pass on my skills and experience to future students. Over my years at high school I’ve taken on a diverse range of tutoring and mentoring roles, from teaching Tae Kwan Do to coaching volleyball teams and our student representative council. From these experiences, I learnt that no student is the same as another and that a set procedure of formula for tutoring does not work. That’s why I don’t give my students the same lessons as each other but work with each individually to best inspire and educate them. While preparing for my Year 12 exams and the final assessments, I was the go-to guy for academic help among my friends. I was always open to help with Maths, English or any other subjects they needed assistance with. I assisted them in improving their marks from C/D averages to A/B averages, many achieving Band 6 results in the HSC. The library became a place of informed discussion about Orwell and Ishiguro rather than an isolated experience. My mission is to bring that fostering of confidence and knowledge to my students. My philosophy is to boost the confidence and academic prowess of my students so that they have the confidence to achieve their goals on their own.
