My name is Kiara and I am a recent Year 12 graduate from Bethany College beginning a double degree in law and criminology and criminal justice at university in 2024. I am keen to assist students from Year 7-12 in various courses to allow them to feel more confident in areas they may be struggling.
My strengths lie within essay writing and short answer style questions primarily in Legal Studies, Society and Culture and Studies of Religion 1. Further, by doing Society and Culture I had to undergo a major project, the Personal Interest Project (PIP), and I am more than happy to help students in the course with their own PIP as well as other content. I will also be able to tutor in Mathematics Advanced permitting students to increase their problem solving skills and answer and explain questions which may be difficult.
Our lessons would include - but are not limited to;
- Unpacking questions and understanding their requirements.
- Practising past papers.
- Revising content which students may be struggling with.
- Understanding and knowing the syllabus and the requirements of each course.
I will cater lessons to each individual students needs in order to reach their goals and increase their marks whilst also raising their self-confidence in their courses. I am willing to start at any time, including the school holidays, to enable students to comfortably begin a new term prepared for the content they will be learning in class. I have successfully completed my HSC in 2023 with internal ranks as follows; 1st in Legal Studies 1st in Society and Culture 1st in Studies of Religion 1 2nd in Maths Advanced 3rd in Maths Extension 1 13th in English Advanced Achieved an ATAR of 96.75. Currently studying a Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice/Bachelor of Law at UNSW.
