Hello, I'm Thomas! I graduated from Saint Joseph's College in 2023. As reflected in the variety of subjects I offer for tutoring, my teaching style is versatile and adaptive. It recognises that every student is different, and importantly, that they need to be aided in a personalised way in order for them to fulfil their ambitions and truly understand the concept of achievement. In light of this, my tutoring service commences with a discussion about the goals and expectations of the student - what is expected from both themselves and from me. From there, I am able to develop a comprehensive and sure-fire plan to improve and/or enhance their marks and fully realise their potential. Having been on both the giving and receiving end of tutoring, I know first hand how quintessential it is to tailor a curriculum to the needs of the student directly. I have seen for myself just how impactful this service can be when this is done and it actually evokes a genuine sense of satisfaction within me to see this method work time and time again. Experienced English, Humanities and Language Tutor (2023 Graduate) After having completed four units worth of acceleration in Year 11, I was well equipped to tutor three students in 2023 across various disciplines within Business Studies and Studies of Religion (I & II). In the final term of Year 12, I also tutored the English Standard, Advanced, Extension I and II courses to various students in Year 12. In addition to this, I have tutored French Beginners, Intermediate and Continuers for the past three years. I have also tutored a variety of subjects at a primary and intermediate level (ranging from French to English to History). This wealth of experience has enabled me to develop key communication skills as a tutor which allow me to understand exactly what my student needs so they can see genuine improvement and enhancement.
