Hi, I’m Dawnette Mascarenhas! I graduated from Gilroy Catholic College in 2023 and would love to offer my, guidance to other students to support them in achieving academic success! In the upcoming year, I intend to pursue a Bachelor of Law and Commerce Throughout my senior years of study, I have demonstrated a high level of dedication and was an accomplished student which has translated into my results For my HSC studies, I placed 1st in Modern History 2nd in English Advanced 2nd in Standard Maths 2nd in Business Studies 3rd in Legal Studies 5th in Studies of Religion (Completed in 2022 as an accelerated student, earning an HSC mark of 42/50) As well as receiving the award for Academic Excellence Additionally, in my 2022 Preliminary studies, my achievements included: 1st in Modern History 1st in Business Studies 2nd in Standard Maths 3rd in Legal Studies 4th in Studies of Religion 1 (2021 Accelerated) 5th in English Advanced 5th in Biology As well as receiving the award for Academic Excellence I can offer both online and in-person tutoring sessions for high school students of all capabilities both after school and on weekends. I will offer a personalised approach and will customise my teaching methods to meet individual needs and learning styles. This will involve adapting the pace, and teaching strategies to ensure that the student comprehends and retains the material. Having recently completed the HSC myself I will offer empathy and understanding of student’s struggles and challenges and create a safe and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable expressing their concerns.
