Hi, I’m Dorothea! I recently completed my Bachelor of Science at the University of Sydney, majoring in Mathematics and Data Science, and achieved A* in both CIE A-Level Mathematics and Edexcel A-Level Further Mathematics. I have always enjoyed explaining mathematical ideas in a simple, friendly way. During university, I often helped classmates and friends with calculus, algebra, and statistics, and discovered that I genuinely enjoy helping others understand concepts that once felt difficult. My teaching style is calm, structured, and supportive. I like breaking problems down into clear steps, showing students why a method works instead of just memorising formulas. Most students tell me they feel less stressed and more confident after lessons with me. I tutor Years 7–12, including • Standard • Advanced • Extension 1 • (and Extension 2 support, depending on the topic) I’m patient, organised, and good at spotting where a student gets stuck. My goal is to help students build strong fundamentals, improve exam performance, and—most importantly—feel confident in mathematics.
