About

99.95 ATAR, 99 UCAT (3440), USYD Med, Multiple State Rankings (1st in Courses), Dux of School Hello there, I'm Kevin, a graduate of The King's School and current Bachelor of Science / Doctor of Medicine student at the University of Sydney. I am seeking expressions of interest for students for 2025 (since I am all booked out for 2024). I aim to provide a comfortable and casual learning environment for my students, rather than sticking to inflexible, pre-prepared lesson plans. Typically, my lessons involve either breaking down difficult content for students, or providing feedback and advice on work they have already completed. Consequently, I am able to target specific issues that a student might have and adapt the lesson extempore. This, I believe, is the key advantage that a skilled private tutor would have over a generic cram school. Although I am a recent graduate, I have been working extensively (~20 hrs a week) as a teacher/tutor for the past year and have been private tutoring for 7-9 hrs each week. As of 17/9/2023, the total sits somewhere close to 500 hours. My teaching style mainly appeals to prepared students who are willing to work outside of our classes. I have privately tutored students of varying academic abilities and expectations, but with a common desire to learn and improve. What I offer: - Flexible lessons which adapt based on students' strengths and weaknesses - Detailed feedback by email within 48hrs for essays and short answer responses - Timely responses to brief questions when texted - Access to my essays and notes - Access to the practice questions and material that I used to prepare for the HSC ... and of course, advice about other stuff like Medicine Applications, balancing study and other commitments etc. which are as personalised as possible. I call all prospective students to consult with them and determine the best path forward.
