I graduated from Meriden in 2022, with an ATAR of 99.75, with high band 6s/e4s across all 7 of my subjects. I am currently studying a B Advanced Computing/Science degree at the University of Sydney as a Science Top of the State and Chancellor’s Scholar, through the Dalyell stream. Further, I am always just a text or call away if you need help throughout the week. * 𝗜𝗻𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝘆-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 * In our lessons, I focus on building my students’ confidence and expertise from first-principles; together with conscientious support, I am confident that students can eventually extrapolate their understanding to dissect even the most demanding questions (and of course, come up with questions of their own we can explore together!). * 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 * I hope to prepare students for the changing landscape of science and maths exams by providing them with challenging and interesting problems, priming them to break down any question they are presented with. * 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 * 'Working scientifically' is a frequently overlooked portion of HSC Physics and Chemistry; I will be incorporating the higher-level scientific thinking I acquired through the HSC Science Extension course in each of the science lessons I deliver, encouraging students to make connections beyond the distinct modules and establish their own complex understanding of syllabus content.
