I have worked as a tutor for over 3 years and personally tutored over 75 students, helping them to achieve their academic goals. I also spent the majority of 2022 managing a tutoring centre in the eastern suburbs which allowed to me oversee the tuition of 325+ students and 40+ tutors. This experience has been extremely valuable as I have seen/tutored a vast array of students allowing me to refine my own methods and tailor my sessions to best achieve the student's goals. Moreover, in managing 40+ tutors I have also learnt effective and ineffective tutoring techniques which help me to support every individual student as best I can.
My tutoring style focuses on the following:
- Syllabus content (and an in-depth knowledge of topics/questions most likely to be tested or not tested).
- Consistent questions/quizzes to ensure complete understanding.
- Time management and how to use time efficiently.
- Study planning and preparing for exams.
- Maintaining a balanced lifestyle and understanding the size of your academic commitments to achieve certain marks/results.
I believe a holistic approach covering all five of the points above is the key to success in tutoring and seeing results improve. I have an in-depth knowledge of all syllabus content and have foolproof study techniques which help students succeed to a great extent. I look forward to taking on students of all ages and abilities, helping them to realise their potential and achieve better results.

Marcus tutored me through the last 3 years of high school and reignited my love for maths helping me to achieve excellent results. He was persistent to make sure I understood key concepts and had amazing levels of knowledge with regards to how heavily weighed certain topics would be in exams. This is what makes Marcus such a great tutor, he not only taught the syllabus content thoroughly and clearly but he also told me which topics to focus on more heavily than others, went through 5 or 6 time management techniques and developed a fool proof study plan to perform in the exams. I would highly recommend Marcus as a tutor for anyone looking to make improvements in their subjects, he always makes himself available for any additional sessions a student may require and will respond to questions sent over text within the day.
